Hello all, As the title ask I need to find an email service that doesn’t require phone verification. One of our sister sites is a treatment center that helps clients get their GED’s or job etc. Well since everything is moving to online the clients will need a e-mail. Problem is they don’t have phone, and I’d rather not use my phone for 20-30 clients. Any suggestions would be great ...
Freescout can create “phone tickets” where only the name of the client is needed, and the phone number and email is optional 6c313bce-ec21-4744-9cd3-bad3c56bc9fe-Immagine_2023-05-24_131551.png 782×566 17.1 KB
They will happily install crap like facebook and TikTok and grant full permissions. an authenticator only needs permission to notify you. It doesn’t do any kind of data collection, and it won’t impact your data plan \ usage. Many of our staff install it on their personal phone and its a complete non issue. @jackbaker6
my question is more related to use experience, am building an app to offer free service to public users (deals & discounts across the city), we are the point where we have to decide whether to user phone number verification or email verification or both, we need to verify both information with a higher priority to email address as this will be used for email marketing campaigns, will forcing ...
If they don’t agree just get a cheap company cell/mobile phone for $20 (doesn’t have to be a smart phone - use text based authentication instead) and say they have to keep it on them for authenticating their email. $20 is nothing in terms of bolstering Security and you own the asset so reclaim it upon their departure from the company.
Hello Fellow IT Admins, I’m an IT Manager encountering a growing concern among our users. Many online services now require a cell phone number for authentication purposes, and our users are increasingly hesitant to use their personal phones for this. How are you handling this situation in your organizations? Are there alternatives or solutions you’ve implemented to address privacy concerns ...
Not sure if it’s possible but we have employees leave all the time and management wants another user to have access to the account. Generally we move it to a shared box but when the account is generic in nature like sales and not a specific person, another user will have to login and continue working. However when the previous user sets up MFA to their phone, I don’t see how to change the ...
Microsoft recommends, but doesn’t require, that the phone number is configured as a full E.164 phone number with country code. You can configure phone numbers with extensions. These extensions will be used to look up users when the lookup against the base number returns more than one result. So like 1+5555555555
I was looking for a good secured messenger app and found many good reviews about Dust. But I could not use it and be sure my data will be private since it requires mobile number of facebook account for authorization. Is it possible to use it without phone number or social network accounts?
The vast majority of users who we govern are more than happy to put in their personal phone number to receive an SMS message to confirm their identity when authenticating with Microsoft 365. I have, recently however, had a few users who do not wish to use their own phones for 2FA. This can cause problems as we look to ensure all users have 2FA configured for security. We have found with ...
