  2. Stihl Blower, hard to pull, spits out gas | Lawn Care Forum

    www.lawnsite.com/threads/stihl-blower-hard-to-pull-spits-out-gas.478622

Stihl Leaf Blower, 2 years old, paid around 200. Sometimes the rip chord will pull extremely hard and jerky, then when you finally get it to pull normal is spits out gas from the muffler and will adventually start and run fine. This happens half the time I go to use it. I use 40 or 50 to 1 ratio mix incase that matters. Reply Like. Sort by.

In fact the BR420C is really underpowered when compared to offerings from Echo, Shindaiwa and RedMax (Shindaiwa). Spend the extra 85 bucks. $365 is a really good price on the BR420C, it lists for $399. Reply Like.

  5. redmax vs. stihl blower - Lawn Care Forum

Rons Rightway Lawncare said: The Redmax is a 2 stroke engine. The Stihl is a 4 stroke. Both operate at nearly the same engine rpm, but the redmax is a larger displacement engine and it sucks in fuel and burns it with every revolution of the crankshaft, the stihl on every other revolution.

Thanks for all who tried to help with these issues with my Stihl BR550 blower. After a lot of analysis and tests, I found the blower had a hung up exhaust valve. Stihl recommends using their decarbonization liquid to help get carbon out of the cylinder and valve chamber but I contacted four Stihl dealers but none of them carried this liquid in ...

Guys...the aluminum case that surrounds the flywheel in my BG86 came loose, causing the flywheel to contact it and grind against it. I need to tighten the screws of the aluminum casing up, but to do that, I have to pull the flywheel as the screw heads are ...

    www.lawnsite.com/threads/difference-in-stihl-handheld-blower-models.378119

The 86 has more power (even when both are using the same tip), and the 86 has the vibration isolated motor, to prevent damaging your hands. I had an 85, and it was fantastic, except for the vibration (which the 86 is supposed to have solved). Reply Like. L. larryinalabama. 21110 posts · Joined 2008.

  9. Stihl Blower.. spark and compression but will not fire...

    www.lawnsite.com/threads/stihl-blower-spark-and-compression-but-will-not-fire...

First of all this is not a proper spark test. Under compression air is about 9x denser, a better insulator and may prevent the voltage from sparking. It does sound like an ignition issue, check the key, flywheel gap, and measure the resistance of both primary and secondary circuits on the ignition.

  10. Seized Stihl Blower - Lawn Care Forum

    www.lawnsite.com/threads/seized-stihl-blower.418248

Pulled the starter cord a couple times and it sounded/felt real rough - and didn't start. Then on the 3 try, it was seized! When the valves are way out, you can end up pulling against so much pressure it feels like the cord will break and it is seized. Pull out the spark plug and see if you can pull the cord then.

Yup. Replace the spark plug first and if that doesn't work then put a coil on it. You may want to inspect the flywheel and make sure the magnet didn't fly off too. Reply Like. E. ELACESAR Discussion starter. 6 posts · Joined 2009. #3 · Jul 14, 2009. Thanks I didn't check the flywheel magnet.
