  2. KEY DETECTION COMPARISON: Spotify vs Tunebat vs Mixed In Key

    www.reddit.com/.../comments/m3q97z/key_detection_comparison_spotify_vs_tunebat_vs

A few days ago, a review on Tunebat.com got published on DigitalDJTips.com. What it missed was how well the Key Analyzer of Tunebat performs, as well as if the keys listed on Spotify are actually accurate. I already did a small comparison back in 2019 (100 tracks) and it didn’t look good for both platforms.

  3. Is tunebat wrong or am I wrong? : r/musictheory - Reddit

Whenever I make a beat and export it, I run the .wav through tunebat just for fun, however. It 90% of the time labels my tracks as being in the A minor key, regardless of what I mapped out when making it, I'm a novice to beatmaking and music theory, but I'm wondering what your experiences are using tunebat if you are familiar with it.

This is the first I learned of this site, and as an avid Spotify user since it first came out I'm pumped. I'm really interested in the values assigned for how much "energy" a song has, and also how "positive" or "acoustic" it is. I already disagree with some of them lol, for example I really don't see how "When Doves Cry" has the highest possi

Searches for songs using Tonalify, Tunebat, and Songdata.io all query Spotify's database of keys. And what's worse, Spotify key accuracy places dead last (< 33%) among leading automated key detection algorithms again and again and again. With the ability to search the key of any song on Spotify, it's no wonder Tunebat keeps getting suggested.

Definitely don't trust tunebat, and you may want to ask your money back from your transcriber (unless you're misunderstanding what they gave you, or I just found the wrong track!). I worked that out in 5 minutes or less, using this to help listen. (Admittedly I'd need more time to get all the details of the melody, riffs and so on.)

99% of the time, I just Google it or just right click the Tempo in FL and "Tap" it out. I do have Traktor DJ software that I could drop something into, but sometimes you have to be careful because BPM is bea

I’m working on a similar site that will show the same info, plus have a section under each song to ask questions, or post information about the sound design/music theory techniques used in the song.
