  2. Where to Find 1 Gallon Diesel Container | TDIClub Forums

    forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/where-to-find-1-gallon-diesel-container...

The only way I can get biodiesel is to buy 100% stuff from a distributor (who sells it to fleets) and then cut it with ULSD. I get 1 gal of 100% in a 5 gal can, add 4 gal of ULSD from the local Shell, giving me 20%. I then add about 1 gal to a full tank, so the final level is between 1-2% biodiesel.

I later save the empty 16 oz. bottle and use it to measure out 4-8 oz. of PowerService from a larger 32 oz. or 96 oz. bottle.

  4. what does bio smell like? - TDIClub Forums

    forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/what-does-bio-smell-like.337274

It's got a yellow hue, not brown like diesel. Feels the same to me. Slippery. I keep mine in a 5 gallon red can because it's what they had - no yellow ones. My gasoline containers are 1 gallon and my two stroke containers are 1/2 gallon, that's how I tell them apart. Plus my diesel/bio container is marked "C12H23"

Mar 21, 2023. #16. Diesel is oil, mix it with your used oil and return it to Walmart, they take jugs of used oil. I have mixed engine oil, transmission oil, power steering fluid all in the same container. Also occasionally crud from the bottom of my drain pan gets in those used oil jugs.

  6. Stanadyne -- Worth It? - TDIClub Forums

    forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/stanadyne-worth-it.55109

The only thing you're gaining by buying the 8 oz container is a lighter wallet. I'd recommend buying the half-gallon container and finding a way to measure 4 oz into the tank every fillup. I bought an 8 oz bottle and a 1/2 gallon bottle. I keep the 1/2 gallon bottle in the garage, and the 8 ouncer in the car by the spare tire.

    forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/biodiesel-in-09-and-10-year-2-0-tdi...

The so-called LML Duramax will be certified to run on biodiesel blends of up to B20, which is 80 percent ultra-low-sulfur diesel and 20 percent biodiesel, in GM’s 2011 model year 2500 and 3500 Silverado and Sierra pickups. The move finally matches the B20 capability of the current 2007-09 Cummins 6.7-liter inline-six that powers the Dodge Ram ...

  9. How much Stanadyne do you add to a tank?? - TDIClub Forums

    forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/how-much-stanadyne-do-you-add-to-a-tank.89965

VW only recommends it for winter use and then at a double dose, 8 oz per tank, or even 12 oz per tank if it is very cold. I can't see where it would hurt to use it all the time, especially given the uncertain quality of our fuel. But I run Stanadyne's dose, 4 oz per tank, in the 3 warm seasons. This is our first Diesel and we've only had it ...

  10. Rotella t6 alternatives - TDIClub Forums

    forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/rotella-t6-alternatives.521247

After Walmart got it back (sort of) earlier this year, the price went up to $60 on it. Now it seems like stores aren't getting it again, but if you can find it that's just $20 a gallon, better than the last T6 price I saw by at least $2. The Mobil 1 is an option though if you can't find T6. Steve.

  11. Def fluid intervals - TDIClub Forums

    forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/def-fluid-intervals.510779

What are your average Def fluid fillup intervals. I got the car (2014 passat tdi comfort line) at 42000km now it has 56000km and still no Def fill up light. I average 950-1050 a tank depending on how heavy i am on the pedal. 70% city (below 80km) 30% hwy (above 80km), ***side note I have achieved 2 +1100km tanks but mainly 95% hwy at 120km/hr ***.
