Location. Scottish Highlands. Nov 15, 2020. #1. I thought I'd write a brief note about my first season using the LRX as it might be of interest to some of you guys, i've used the TTSX before, but with an estate policy change for this year to shooting 100% none lead ammo I decided to try the LRX. I am a professional deer stalker (guide) here in ...

    337. Jul 11, 2020. #4. Death grip is pretty accurate. I got the aluminum model and it's not backpacking light for sure but it'll hold about any rifle no kidding snug and steady. Tested mine with a new Stoeger M3500 Liberty 18.5" semi auto running 8 pellet 00 buck and I ran 7 rounds as fast as I could pull the trigger and it held fast the entire ...

Location. Pflugerville Texas. Mar 20, 2023. #1. I recently sold my Springfield M1A Supermatch and have 2500 CCI #34 primers left over. I'm down to only a few hundred CCI #200 large rifle primers and am wondering if I can use these surplus #34s in a DPMS LR-308 (pictured left). Does anybody on the Forum have experience running mil-spec primers ...

I've tried RL 26, H1000, RL22, H4831, and Retumbo in my 300WM With a few loads that were "OK" but not really satisfactory. Then I tried Magnum and found what I was looking for. Two distinct nodes, one near max that ...

    136. Jul 4, 2019. #1. I recently acquired a 257 weatherby that I plan on using for antelope and mule deer out to 500 yards. I want to start load development soon and am trying to decide which bullet I want to use. I'm leaning towards 100 grain bullets at around 3500 fps. For those of you who have experience with this cartridge, should I use a ...

I had a very accurate load of 73gr of Rl26 with the 100gr ttsx but it was slow 3540fps. Never pushed it harder and haven't had the 257 very long so haven't had a chance to come back to it for any more development. Currently running the 117gr sst with 72gr of rl 26 for 3375fps. Very accurate but can be somewhat frangible.

May 27, 2011. #1. I have a .257 weatherby mag 24" barrel I am shooting 115 vld. I read in the book"hunters guide to long range shooting" you need 1200 lbs of engery for elk and 600lbs for deer. I ran this through my I snipe program after running the numbers I get 500 yards for elk and about 900 for deer. But I also read some where else that the ...
