Costco had better medical evac & medical premiums coverage. If you book through Costco travel cost is 5% of trip; if not 6.5%. Our TA price was less than Costco as we got better OBC & choice of cabins. Also they have a 24/7 travel number while it's hard to get through to Costco travel.

As i said the $15 quote was for cheapie cruises, $269, $269, $449 pp. I got a higher quote for insurance on a cruise that was $599 and $699. We were just looking for medical to cover diabetes.

  4. Costco or NCL for travel insurance? - Cruise Critic

If you are a person that travels and dines a lot, I would consider looking at a credit card that offers a generous insurance policy (Chase Sapphire Reserve). Yes, the yearly fee is astronomical, but the value far outweighs the cost of the fee. As long as you pay for the entire trip with your card, then you are covered.

  5. Costco Travel Guard Trip Insurance vs. Holland America...

The cancel for any reason is why I always buy HAL's for a long trip. It is not, however, travel insurance. Nor should one rely on its med-evac coverage. We self-insure instead of travel insurance; and our medical coverage covers us world-wide, so HAL's policy plus med-evac insurance fits our needs.

  6. Cover-More Travel Insurance - Cruise Critic

If you book through Costco Travel, the premium is 5% of the insured amount and you can do it all online. If not booked through Costco Travel the premium is 6.5% of insured amount and you have to call Cover-More. You do need a Costco membership, however. I haven't had to file a claim with them, but the insurance coverage is very good, IMHO. 1. 1.

    142. January 4, 2002. #10. Posted January 28, 2008. Costco is not offering free insurance anymore-the agent said since November-they are now offering a generous OBC and their insurance is reasonable depending on the price of the cabin--$61 per person for Balcony. $300 OBC. I love Costco and always book with them.
