Also keep in mind that Rackspace is a much larger player in the Cloud hosting space than Google and Microsoft. Cloud Sites is the largest platform-as-a-service Cloud at the moment, roughly double the size of Google AppEngine and Amazon doesn't even have a platform Cloud.
The latest on this is this Rackspace project has been placed temporarily on hold because of the Rackspace Hosted Exchange issue from Dec 2022. With all that pretty much being resolved, the focus (for the most part) will return to the conversion from Rackspace Email to Rackspace Open Xchange (OX). The OX system is an outstanding platform.
By the ways, unless someone was holding a gun to your head forcing you to sign a Rackspace contract, you did that out of your free will too. Many subdomains of Amazon, The Rackspace Cloud are not known to the public, like - help.websitesettings.com is not known to you.
