    www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/cr123-made-in-the-usa.451236

Sep 23, 2018. #1. I recently bought a new LED flashlight that uses the CR123A battery. Like all good forum members I immediately read Selfbuilts CR123A 2013 Battery Comparison. Armed with the knowledge from his post, I went in search of a "Made in the USA" CR-123A. My first stop was a camping store whose online site said that had Energizer CR ...

  3. Who Makes CVS Alkaline Batteries...? - Candle Power Flashlight...

    2) The CVS cells are made in America. 3) The manager had no idea who the OEM for CVS is. Time to pick up the phone, and continue researching from there... MorePower: If not Energizer or Duracell, based on negative endplates, but made in America, then it's a pretty safe bet that the cells are made by Rayovac. LEDAdd1ct:

  4. Battery Date Code Decoder for NiMH, Rayovac, Duracell, Eneloop...

Side note and totally anecdotal but the Rayovacs honestly surprised me a bit considering they are made in China. Battery age is useful in determining application, cycles, usage, and general health of a battery, for example I use older or "tired" batteries with high cycle counts for low drain devices like remotes or a computer mouse.

    www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/cr123a-comparison-review-4sevens-titanium...

Made-in-China batteries do not have a manufacture date, but all were purchased within the last one month. 4Sevens batteries were from 4sevens.com, Titanium Innovations batteries were from batteryjunction.com, and Tenergy batteries were from 4sevens.ca. Flashlights: I have chosen four single-cell CR123A lights for comparisons. Each light has a ...

  6. Difference between Duracell ultra and Procell

    www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/difference-between-duracell-ultra-and...

The procell and the regular alkalines are the same exact battery, made in the same plant, the only difference is the packaging (meaning it comes out of the same hole but goes down a different line in the plant for packaging). The differences in chemistry in the same alkaline battery are between their "ultra", M3, and whatever they have now that ...

    www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/duracell-precharged-japan-or-china.198310

Made in China Duracell's are Yuasa, made in Japan will be Sanyo. Yuasa is, BTW, a Japanese company that simply has it's plants in China; because they use a Japanese approach to mfr and quality managament they attain Japanese mfring standards at the lower labor costs of China. Yuasa used to make Hybrio's but Uniross took the mfring elsewhere ...

  9. Why no Duracell or Rayovac lithium AA's?

    www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/why-no-duracell-or-rayovac-lithium-aas.242141

Sep 13, 2009. #2. Energizer had (still has?) a patent that prevented other companies from marketing and selling Lithium AA & AAA cells in North America. Rayovac attempted to bring some into the NA market last year and was promptly taken to court by Energizer. Apparently some of Energizer's lithium patents have expired.

  11. Duracell Quantums discontinued - Candle Power Flashlight Forum

    www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/duracell-quantums-discontinued.460810

One move Energizer made was to slash the price they charge for ultimate lithiums to retailers helped move a bunch of those last year. But it was probably too little too late for those. A cost of $2.50 each was reduced to a buck 35 but still too high for the typical battery buyer when they can get 24 Rayovacs for $11 versus 8 for $12.
