Hey, I'm new to torrenting and I've recently downloaded the original MW2 and MW3 from FitGirl Repacks (yeah, feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to play spec ops by myself). Anyway, when I click the game set up it says that the files are missing and the game can't download. I get a 404 message even though I downloaded everything.
Use the qbittorrent client and enable the search option there. Install the plugins and enjoy. Torrent Galaxy is the best right now, then piratebay, yts, and for searching through all of them bitsearch works pretty well. I dont use 1337x anymore, it sucks, the ui is really bad.

A torrent will be healthier the more peers there are connected that already have pieces of the torrent fully downloaded. When a peer has a piece and is sending it to peers that don't this is known as seeding. The more peers actively seeding a piece of the torrent the easier it will be for new peers to grab it.

qbittorrent, it’s not infected with garbage. It’s probably gotta be qbittorrent. qBittorent as it’s open source meaning you can view the code, free, no strings attached no bloatware like most of them. And overall it’s the best and the UI it’s pretty nice too. Transmission or aria2.
r/piracy has a megathread that is useful to see reputable sites. I use only qbittorrent for both search and download. just add all the public torrent addons like 1337x, TPB, torrentgalaxy and other. private torrent site addons can be added also, sort out the search as per seeders and you are good to go.
Just something to keep in mind on top of what people already suggested. I don't know about the rest, but these three are solid. I also would bookmark Lrepacks.net for software and FMHY (fmhy.pages.dev). Best general trackers are FileList, TorrentLeech imo. But not public.
