How to Get Your Military Discount from GM. Visit ID.me and create an account (more about how ID.me works). From there, head to the GM landing page and click “Get Authorization Number.”. When you visit the dealership, you will simply present this number to receive your discount.
Each Participant may use up to 4 Authorization numbers within a two-year period for the Participant or members of the Participant’s household. Once accessed, each Authorization number is valid for 90 days toward the discount of a package of OnStar & Connected Services at The Program price.
The GM Military Appreciation, GM First Responder Appreciation, GM Healthcare Appreciation, GM Educator Appreciation Programs, are available toward the purchase or lease of an eligible vehicle as listed on the program websites.
How do I take advantage of the GM Military Discount? Visit ID.me to create an account, or if you already have one, log in with ID.me, and then on the GM Military Discount landing page click "Get Authorization Number.”
In order to receive this discount, you will need to verify your military service with ID.ME. You would need to then bring your authorization number from ID.Me and bring it to the dealer when you go to buy or lease your car.
Authorization numbers are valid for 90 days toward the purchase or lease of an eligible vehicle at The Program price. To see a list of eligible vehicles, please visit gmmilitarydiscount.com and select “Vehicles” on the home page.
Authorization numbers may be requested for the purchase or lease of two (2) vehicles per calendar year and are valid for six (6) months from the date of request. Just bring your authorization number and your Military ID or DD-214 to your GM Dealer when you are ready to purchase or lease.
