You will have to change the batteries, however, don't just change the batteries, unplug the dongle> For some reason, unplugging the dongle to have the computer resee the mouse while changing the batteries will fix the issue.

    Ora Shay. Replied on July 11, 2013. Report abuse. The fix was embarrassingly easy. I had somehow inadvertently clicked on the little tiny oval switch at the right end of the ribbon bar, causing the ribbon to close. All I had to do was to click on the oval again, and then the ribbon reappeared. Thanks to a good friend, this fix was revealed.
