Norman Smith (22 February 1923 – 3 March 2008) [1] was an English musician, record producer and engineer.In the 1960s, he notably engineered all of the Beatles' EMI studio recordings up to the end of 1965 and produced three Pink Floyd albums including their first, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967).
During his career Norman won 54 tournaments in Canada and set 33 course records. [2] [3] He has total 55 professional wins in his golf career. [3] [4] Sam Snead claimed Norman was the game's "greatest striker of the ball", and Tiger Woods said Norman and Ben Hogan were the only two golfers in history to have "owned their swings".
