A parking area is located at Route 137, before the trail enters Nickerson State Park just past mile 10. It is in the park for about two-thirds of a mile, intersecting some of its trails, then crosses Massachusetts Route 6A by an underpass as it leaves the park. A parking lot is located near the Route 6A crossing.
Cliff Pond is a 204-acre (830,000 m 2) kettle pond in Brewster, Massachusetts. [1] It is the largest pond in Nickerson State Park and is quite popular with swimmers and fishermen in summer months. Cliff Pond was totally reclaimed in 1960 and, like many kettle ponds has been treated for alkalinity over the years.

Shubael Pond is a 48-acre (190,000 m 2) kettle pond on Flax Pond Road in Nickerson State Park in Barnstable, Massachusetts. [1] The pond has a popular swimming area and access for small boats or fishing is over that area. Only electric motors are permitted on the pond. [1] [2] Shubael Pond is stocked twice a year with several varieties of trout.
