Hiya, A year and a half ago, I decided to embark on a complete Winds of Winter resource putting together all of the verified information I could find on the internet. However, life got busy, and my last real update to the original post was back in September 2015. Well, I decided to rectify that a...

Possible Winds of Winter Prologues: A sacrifice at the red temple in Volantis: Shows us what is really up with the Red Priests. (Note: I believe that Arya is going to be sent to kill the high priest of R'hollar as her first faceless man assasination.)
The Winds of Winter is the sixth volume of A Song of Ice and Fire. It is currently planned to be the penultimate volume of the series, to be followed by A Dream of Spring. George R.R. Martin has not ruled out expending the series to eight books if it proves necessary, but this will most likely happen because either or both of the two remaining ...
I don't see why Areo would die. GRRM kills of characters for at least one of two reasons (usually both): 1. The character's death has an effect on the audience (upsetting us (Ned), making us happy (Joffrey), and keeping the audience on their toes (all the major character deaths), and 2. the death has plot-affecting ramifications (Ned's death really gets the War of the Five Kings going, Joffrey ...
Here's what I want out of Winds of Winter: - In the first 300 pages the Meereen situation is settled for good. Dany leads her Khalisar down to a huge battle against Victarion, who has used the Horn to command dragons.
Killing him off so quickly in Winds would register as more of a cop out than a resolution of a character ark. This is a story, after all. George has been known to kill off his characters mercilessly, but usually only when they have reached the literary end of the line.
Although I know that characters are going to die in The Winds of Winter, I'm so ambivalent as to who. Those who I'm certain are going to live and are: 1) Daenerys Targaryen. 2) Bran Stark. 3) Sansa Stark. I think this because it would make no sense for these three to die. Daenerys's story has been building up to the invasion of Westeros.
Here are a few of my theories for how Winds of Winter will end.... Aegon will have taken the Iron Throne. Daenerys will arrive in Westeros at the Wall just in time to defeat the Others. Jon will wake up from a coma when Dany and her Dragons arrive. Arya will be in Kings Landing with orders to assassinate Aegon
