DeLaSalle High School is the longest-standing Catholic high school in the city of Minneapolis dating back to the early 1900s. Known for a strong commitment to our students, our mission is to serve students and families who seek a high-quality, values-based academic preparation for life.
DeLaSalle High School opened in 1900 as the first Catholic high school in Minneapolis. Administered by the Christian Brothers since its inception, “De” has been co-educational since 1971-72.

Centrally located on historic Nicollet Island, DeLaSalle is the closest high school to downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, Old St. Anthony, and other Twin Cities landmarks. More than 14,000 students have graduated from DeLaSalle over our 123-year history.

Academics. Islanders are well-prepared for life after high school. Innovative technology along with a college credit program, including 16 Advanced Placement courses, challenge and equip students for post-secondary success. Nearly 100% of our graduates attend college.
