Posts: 2. I've been trying to install and run shaders (on macOS), however every time I boot up Minecraft there's no option in the video settings for it - the button just isn't there. I have double checked every time that I'm running OptiFine (1.20.4), and have checked the OptiFine files, and there is definitely a shader folder, with shaders in it.
Make sure you are using your dedicated GPU instead of your integrated one. When you open the F3 screen, on the right you should see what GPU Minecraft is using. To use the dedicated card (at least for NVIDIA), navigate to NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Global Settings, and change Preferred graphics processor to "High-performance ...

Good to see the thread is back up! Really excited for the upcoming release of your vibrant shaders, and the acid shaders are awesome! It's great that someone finally has revived world curvature in the shaders world. Keep up the great work Sildur! However would it be possible for you to make entities move along with the world?

I have a 2080 super, an i9-9900k processor, and 32 gigs of ram, yet I can't seem to get above 40 fps when running any shader. I have tried reinstalling Java, allocating all different amounts of memory to Minecraft, (xmx4, 8, 12, 16, and even 24). I am completely stumped.
VR shaders. I've started using Vivecraft for Minecraft more a little recently and wanted to know what are some of the optimized shaders to use. Ones that look decent, but run well. Graphics card: GTX 1650, Headset: Quest 2. I also prefere the default resource pack. Because of the Quest 2 I can reach 90 hertz, but wouldn't care if it touched ...

I solved this by downloading a fabric mod, Sodium, which enables Minecraft to allow multi-core rendering. It boosted my FPS from a 2-chunk 30 fps all the way to a 32 chunk 40 fps. Of course this is with shaders (I swapped to BSL shaders) and max graphics, I can simply turn down the chunk render distance to 15 and easily get 60 fps without ...
Here is an illustrative image to help understand the role of these two shaders in Minecraft. Source: Vanilla Shader Guidance. Configuring Shader Files. First,we need to open a higher version of Minecraft, such as '1.21-pre2.jar'.Inside the '1.21-pre2.jar\assets\minecraft\shaders' directory, you will find all the shader-related content.
