I know that you can use CAP and JROTC credit to get AFROTC classes waived up to 2-3 semesters which is essentially 1 1/2 years. However, I’m not going to do that because I want to have my face around the detachment as much as possible so I have a higher chance of getting my commissioning slot.

West Point may not explicitly care about number of service hours, but it certainly values volunteerism. As for JROTC, your best path is to stay in JROTC all four years. Join their competitive teams. Climb the ranks to get to key leadership positions because the demonstration of leadership is something admissions will highly value.
If one completes 4 years of JROTC, are they eligible to enter MSII as a freshman?
