I can never justify paying for a Windows Store app until Microsoft finally makes their own version of APK and iPA files readily available. .apk (Android Application Package files) are for Android phones only. If you want to install .xap files (for WP), you have to unlock your phone to at least developer level.
The thing is, No way and yes way. Lumia runs Windows 10 Mobile and not Windows 10. And Firefox for Windows Mobile is not available. However there is a way to install Firefox app from Android onto your Windows Mobile device If you developer unlock your phone in the settings and install "Firefox.apk" with specific software you can find on the web.
May 6, 2018. #2. No there isn't. The hardware requires specially written drivers, so if there are not drivers, you can't run the OS on it. There is one android device, one of the xiaomi devices that partnered with MS, to make a windows ROM for it, but as I understand it, it was an experiment and was still a tad buggy.

I don't think the new windows 10 store for mobile support offline installation of .xap files that have been downloaded earlier,even webstore doesn't have the option to manually download .xap files anymore but I read some can install .appx files offline through a file manager,not sure though.
Remove the card and set it aside till done. Two steps: Use the Windows device recovery tool to clean the phone and start off with a clean 8.1 phone. You do not have to enter account info when the phone restarts and never restore from a backup. Then use the OTC updater to update the phone to 10.
