It’s legit. You don’t have to click anything from the email to opt in either. Go to your earnings report. Make sure your off site ID is shown in the top right. Then across the top you’ll see “home” “product linking” “promotions”. Click “promotions” and the drop down will show 4-5 options.

Report the scam to Amazon: they are really concerned about impersonation scams lately, to the point they have started sending around emails warning people about the most common ones (I got one two weeks ago). Rest assured if you air your grievances to Meta nobody will listen to you, but if Amazon does it's a completely different matter.
