  2. 6.5 Creedmore flash hole size - Long Range Hunting Forum

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/6-5-creedmore-flash-hole-size.279930

If I had a Creed, either 6mm or 6.5mm I would be using the small primer brass, it's just that much better and lasts a looong time. There are 2 flash hole sizes in large primer for rifles too, the US size of .082" and the European size of .078". So if you experience a tight flash hole in Lapua or Norma brass, this is why.

  3. Hornady or Starline Brass for 6 Creedmoor - Inexpensive options

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/hornady-or-starline-brass-for-6-creedmoor...

I just bought 2 bags of starline 6.5 creedmoor brass. After checking all the dimensions and weighing 20 from each bag I'll say this, they are way more consistent in every way than the Hornady brass I have. Weights were within a 1.5 grains, case head to datum line all within .001, overall length within .001 and necks were all very close.

  4. 6.5 Creedmoor Brass - AR10. | Long Range Hunting Forum

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/6-5-creedmoor-brass-ar10.328718

Apr 9, 2023. #4. I built a 6.5 CM in an AR-10 years ago. It took what seemed like forever to get everything right! Barrel length, gas system. bolt, buffer weight, adjustable gas, etc. In the end I had a spectacularly accurate unbalanced pig that had very short brass life no matter what I put in it.

Kansas. Jan 29, 2018. #1. I will be doing a complete review on Peterson (large and small primer pocket), Lapua, ADG, and Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor brass but thought I would throw out some weight measurements. For the purpose of the review I have ten pieces from each of the listed. Alpha would not sell me ten pieces at this time.

  6. +suggested primers for 6.5 creedmoor reloading?

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/suggested-primers-for-6-5-creedmoor-reloading...

Reloading skills evolve with time, and like most things, the basic fundamentals are the cornerstone for safety and success. H4350 is the default powder for the 6.5cm and will work well, it is in no way to be used for .44 magnum. CCI or Federal Large Rifle Primers are good primers for the 6.5cm.

  7. Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor brass - Long Range Hunting Forum

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/hornady-6-5-creedmoor-brass.217998

Anneal every other firing. Get mine from Midsouth, 100 bulk for $39.49. My preference is the Starline LR! About $30 for 50, way more consistent and good brass to work with! Peterson SR is awesome, but my bolts and small primers, crater and pierce, before it gets to a workable velocity. Last edited: Mar 28, 2019.

  8. Brass is hard to chamber after full-length resize

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/brass-is-hard-to-chamber-after-full-length...

Factory ammo chambers fine. After resizing the brass using a Hornady match full-length resize die, the brass barely chambers—the bolt is sticky loading and unloading the brass. I have the die set so the case goes as far into the die as possible (shell holder hits the bottom of the die and cams over). Hornady customer services says it's ...

7,196. Location. Arizona. Aug 12, 2021. #2. I shoot a 6CM, with SAAMI spec reamer. I bought 300pcs of Lapua 6.5CM SRP brass before they released the 6CM brass. I ran it through my FL die, and loaded it up. They have between 3-5 firings on them now with nothing more than a trim to minimum length.

  10. New 6.5 Creedmoor brass headspace seems a little short

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/new-6-5-creedmoor-brass-headspace-seems-a...

Hyattville, WY. Jun 16, 2022. #37. Carey Farmer said: Prepping to load some practice rounds in my 6.5 Creedmoor target rifle with brand new brass. Checked brass length with a .400" comparator, and was surprised at how short the new brass is - about 0.007" shorter than fired brass from that same rifle. Checked my "go" gauge and the new brass is ...

  11. 6.5 creedmoor brass - Long Range Hunting Forum

Just ordered a barrel in 6.5 creedmoor for my savage target action. I know many are using the 308 lapua brass to make the creedmoor brass. Lapua makes 7mm 08 brass now. Has anyone tried necking this down? Would the necks still need turning. I think I am going to give it a try.
