A great alternative is to add fruit to your water- cucumbers, strawberries, lemons, ginger- the choices are endless. My favorite homemade flavored water is to add cucumber, lemon, ginger, and mint.

  3. Using water flavor enhancers like Mio at restaurants.

    forums.thebump.com/discussion/12074047/using-water-flavor-enhancers-like-mio...

September 2013. There are so many things you can add to water - lemon, lime, oranges, cucumber, mint, strawberries, etc that restaurants will add for you. Switch it up with sparkling water if you want some fizz and no calories. Bringing fake stuff is tacky and you miss out on different and unique flavors.

Re: MIO water enhancer. domesticatedhuman. June 2011. I've been using it in limited doses (ie, not all my water is flavoured with it). In moderation I am sure it's okay but I do like to stay away as much as possible from chemicals in general. However, it is not one of the sweetners that is totally not okay during pregnancy.

He would swirl the bottle of BM before serving to make sure that it was evenly heated and tested the temp. smittie417 member.

The Fisher Price ones with the wire bases are awesome. We registered for 2 chairs that the girls ended up not liking. Don't go crazy on swings and other gadgets at first. We got a cheap second-hand swing to start. Once we realized that the girls like a swing, we bought a good one (Fisher Price Little Lamb).

  8. Vanilla extract — The Bump

Vanilla extract. PhysChic7685 member. October 2011. Okay, so obviously, vanilla extract has been determined to be safe in dosages normally found in food, with no real evidence of the effects for larger doses. During my last pregnancy, I was having lots of heartburn and wanted a "natural" remedy.

  10. White residue on bottles after boiling? — The Bump

    forums.thebump.com/discussion/1041451/white-residue-on-bottles-after-boiling

Mrsosh member. December 2008. Has anyone else had this happen? I just opened a new package of Dr. Browns bottles to wash and sterilize. I boiled them for about 15 minutes (maybe too long?), and after I noticed that there's a white residue on every bottle. I had to rewash them, which basically makes them unsterile again.

  11. Great Wolf Lodge while Pregnant — The Bump

    forums.thebump.com/discussion/8938557/great-wolf-lodge-while-pregnant

NavyMom77 member. April 2013. A few weeks ago I posted asking for advice on visiting Great Wolf Lodge while pregnant, and a few other posters were interested in hearing my experience afterwards. We went last weekend to the GW closest to us (Williamsburg, VA) and I have to say - pregnant or not - it was a lot of fun and a great family getaway.
