The Arizona Biltmore is a historic resort located in Phoenix near 24th Street and Camelback Road. Designed by Albert Chase McArthur, it opened on February 23, 1929, as part of the Biltmore Hotel chain. Actors Clark Gable and Carole Lombard often stayed there and the Tequila sunrise cocktail was invented there.
The property is listed in the Tempe Historic Property Register. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 7, 1984, reference number 84000730. The Carns- Buck House – built in 1914 and located at 902 Farmer Ave. This was one of the first houses built in the Goodwin Addition.
