EPCOT has some good rides but the only ones I love are Guardians, Soarin' & Living with the Land; with Guardians being my favorite ride at WDW. However, DHS has two of the best rides on property with Tower & Rise; I think their lineup of secondary rides is a lot better than the likes of Frozen, Test Track, etc...
Animal Kingdom was struggling for years to leave the half-day park label (imo it is a full-day park especially since Pandora even when there was Fastpass etc) But let's say you took the budget for 2-3 (most likely) big budget Epcot rides and gave Animal Kingdom 3-5 lower budget rides. It would do wonders for the park,
To de-emphasize the reliance on high-budget attractions and instead focus on creating memorable, low-cost rides, EPCOT can embrace creativity and innovation in a different manner: Interactive Ride Concepts: Replace expensive themed rides with interactive experiences where guests participate using simple technology. For example, an attraction ...
In Legacy FP days my brother and I did the same at Epcot rope drop (sans breakfast at Sunshine Seasons). We'd average 2 or 3 rides on TT and Soarin, SSE and usually 1 or 2 rides on El Rio Del Tiempo (now Gran Fiesta Tour) and head out of the park after getting lunch.
We have always enjoyed Epcot. I'm a huge fan of Frozen the Musical and almost listen to it daily on my many walks. We always sing along when we're on the ride (Yes, We're One Of THOSE people. Ha!) Remy's Ratatouille and the many rats adventures is so very fun to us as the rat meanders throughout the restaurant with his misadventures.
At rope drop from the front entrance, the crowd is split in two places - one group going toward Test Track/Mission Space/Frozen, and one group going toward The Land/Seas/Imagination/Remy. The International Gateway guests come in right by France, so they have the advantage there. I would still try to rope drop, since you’re not planning to use LL.
I attended After Hours at Epcot on its first night, 6/1/23 OVERALL- After Hours for Epcot is NOT worth it. CONS: 1) Rides not running at full capacity made some wait times longer than during the regular day. Cosmic Rewind was never below an hour wait. 2) Ride breakdowns also caused major...
Mar 10, 2014. #1. I love the thrill rides at Disney World but last October I had an unexpected heart attack. I had one artery 100% blocked. The Dr. installed a heart stint but the damage to my heart had been done.
Velocicoaster might get people in the door to Uni once. But I think Hagrids and Forbidden Journey and Spider-Man (and Diagon Alley!) are the types of rides that get them into the doors multiple times and creates hype to encourage others to visit via word of mouth. I suspect the main repeat visitors that thrill rides generate are locals.
