Euchre or eucre ( / ˈjuːkər / YU-kər) is a trick-taking card game commonly played in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, and the Midwestern United States. It is played with a deck of 24, 25, 28, or 32 standard playing cards. There are normally four players, two on each team, although there are variations for two to nine players.
The winner of this auction names trump or no trump. Players may play from the hand or their upcards. As an upcard is played, the one beneath it is turned and becomes available. Players score 1 point per trick taken unless the trump maker fails to achieve the bid number of tricks, in which case the bid number is deducted from the maker's score. [2]
