12TB: $59.99. Backblaze (per month) 1TB: $6. 12TB: $72. iCloud is not a backup service. It’s a just a syncing service. Τhis works fine if you want to sync just a limited amount of folders between your devices. Actually just the iCloud folder on the internal disk —with the option to have inside the Documents and Desktop folders.
That relates to the backup idea—both your hardware and your "free" backups have a 1 year warranty. Of course, you should have the option to pay more to extend it. For example, buying AppleCare will automatically give you 3 years. 200 GB of iCloud storage is $2.99/month. From that number, one year of 512 GB iCloud storage costs about $90.
An unofficial community about Apple and all of its devices and software. Thoughts on new iCloud pricing? 5GB=free. 20GB=99¢/month. 200GB=$3.99/month. It's not just the prices, it's the pricing structure.
The Premier plan includes 2TB of iCloud storage but you can still buy 2TB of iCloud storage normally ontop of that for a total of 4TB. 2TB for you individually + 2TB for everyone on the plan (or just 4TB for you if you don't share the plan). Granted if you don't plan on using any of the other services you're now paying over $40 a month to Apple ...
I’ve tried both and I prefer iCloud+ over Google One. iCloud will backup all your files, including formats from Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc. For me, it works perfectly and it makes it easier to work with on iPhone/iPad. I also like iCloud+ b/c it gives access to Hide My Email, Custom Domain mail, iCloud Private Relay. 1.

Less than a cup of Starbucks or Dunkin. I found that at least getting 50 gb was worth it to backup photos to iCloud. As an actual cloud storage service, it’s not great though. Google Drive and OneDrive are better (unless you’re very into Apple apps like Pages and Numbers and stuff like that).
Yes, but the requests goes through Apples server. If there was only one server and you got logs from Apples server, you could correlate the incoming traffic (your IP) with the outgoing traffic (websites IP) back to you, by looking at timing, packet size etc. Like 3 small packets for a TCP handshake.
It’s $12.99 per month for 2TB here in Canada and I agree that a cheaper mid-tier option would be nice but as we all know, Apple loves to force you to pay for more than you need. That’s why there isn’t a 128GB option for the iPad Air 5. It’s either 64GB or 256GB. FYI, as of today, 1Jul 2022, $9.99 USD = $12.91 CAD.
All tiers and pricing from September 18th: 50GB - $0.99 monthly. 200GB - $2.99 monthly. 2TB - $9.99 monthly. 6TB - $29.99 monthly. 12TB - $59.99 monthly. The new larger tier’s pricing scales linearly with the increase in storage rather than getting better value per GB like the smaller tiers. Reply reply.
