Definitely a symptom!! this can actually be the first thing a lot of women notice. your body begins using more water almost immediately after conception so it can lead to dry mouth and excessive thirst.

lpies. Apr 13, 2021 at 8:33 PM. I am almost 33 weeks and noticed last week that I never feel not thirsty. I’m constantly drinking water and go to bed at night feeling dehydrated. I wake up in the morning and have at least 3 glasses of water to make up for not drinking over night it’s getting annoying! E. Ellen1010.
I have read about all the symptoms and haven't seen excessive thirst listed other than under Gest. Diab. which occurs much later. Wondering if anyone has else experienced excessive thirst early in their pregnancy. Drinking over 64oz of water before lunch and still can't get enough. Thanks!
I even added electrolytes just to kinda curb the thirst and I still go through probably 5 things of water, if not more, in my 40oz Stanley. What’s going on!! . 4. 40soon2bmomof3. Try adding electrolytes. LMNT is a good mix, or Rayvi. Or you could start with switching out some of your regular water with coconut water.

I can’t figure out whether this is normal or not!! I do not have gestational diabetes. I am CONSTANTLY thirsty, no matter how much I have to drink. Water doesn’t help, electrolytes don’t help, I’m just always thirsty. I am easily drinking over 120oz of fluid each day. Is anyone else going through this?...
F. F_nozar80. U. USMCmama418. They do say that excessive thirst is a sign of gestational diabetes but before you panic, there also many other factors that can point to that diagnosis. I was also excessively thirsty when I was earlier on in the pregnancy (I'm at 11 weeks now).
I’m 34 weeks and I’m experiencing excessive thirst, I’m drinking about 12 bottles of water a day along with juice etc …. I have to pee every 20-30 minutes all day & night , is anyone else going through this ?
