Posts: 54. Replacing Solara Awning Speakers. The sound from the speakers (or the lack of it) has been a common complaint. The original 2.6 inch speakers in our Solara awning were scratchy at best and cut out frequently. I found a pair of 3 inch waterproof marine speakers by Herdio on Amazon. It was necessary to enlarge the holes in the covers ...

So I have the electric Lippert Solera awning on my Wildwood FSX. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it until this weekend as I was doing some other preventive maintenance. I unrolled the awning as I already knew it needed some cleaning. The underside now has a couple yellow stains from leaves that will need some further attention.

Lippert Solera Automatic Awning Fabric Replacement. I'm getting set to replace the fabric on my 2017 MBS2401W's Solera Electric Awning. I found a video (. In the video, they are working on a trailer with no rain gutter immediately above the awning. On my rig, the sewn in plastic rod that holds the awning to the rv, slides into a track on the ...

Well, it was just about a year ago that we took possession of our 2013 Solera 24RS and I was reflecting about it this morning as we enjoyed a visit to the Flathead Lake area of Western Montana. It has been a year of adjustment for the "lady of the coach" and myself.

  6. Solera power awning manual override not working - Forest River

    www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f228/solera-power-awning-manual-override-not...

There’s an issue in the power head. Inside there’s a planetary gearbox which drives a hollow aluminum shaft which turns the roller of the awning. You’ve likely spun on this shaft. Disassemble and remove the gears from the gear carrier and see if the carrier easily pulls off the shaft. Inspect the gear carrier and hollow shaft for damage.

  7. Solera Awning won't extend from close? - Forest River Forums

    www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f228/solera-awning-wont-extend-from-close...

The Solera awning won't extend via the switch when closed all the way. However, when I run it out manually with a drill and 7/16 socket just a tiny bit, like a couple inches, then it will extend via switch and motor. The rubber grommet was missing from the motor housing when I bought the camper (already ordered a replacement) so I'm not sure if ...

  8. Solera Awning Inner Arm broken - Forest River

    www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f228/solera-awning-inner-arm-broken-how-to...

Looked at the pictures in the album. It’s a Solera Universal Awning. Comes in many widths but the affected area on yours is standard on all of them. Your best bet is to support the awning and remove the bent piece...take it to any machine shop and they can either straighten it or build a new one.

Posts: 58. Power awning won't go out. Not sure if this is the same problem some are having, but on my electric awning, I had problem extending and required 2-people, wife on the switch and me pulling on the awning arm next to the entry door pulling it away from the frame. Once it got out about 4-5 inches it would continue using the switch.

Posts: 3,142. Forest River Guides To Winterizing Class C's. Forest River has produced guides for winterizing your rig. They are based on your chassis type; Transit, MBS Sprinter, or the E-450 / Chevy LE, not brand or model. I believe these guides are applicable to units made after 2015. Most of the info should apply to older units as well.
