Dnsmasq is a lightweight, easy to configure DNS forwarder, designed to provide DNS (and optionally DHCP and TFTP) services to a small-scale network. It can serve the names of local machines which are not in the global DNS. Dnsmasq accepts DNS queries and either answers them from a small, local cache or forwards them to a real, recursive DNS server.
In general, a domain name identifies a network domain or an Internet Protocol (IP) resource, such as a personal computer used to access the Internet, or a server computer. Domain names are formed by the rules and procedures of the Domain Name System (DNS). Any name registered in the DNS is a domain name.

[10] The public-domain "free sharing" and donationware commercialization models evolved in the following years to the (non-voluntary) shareware model, [11] [12] and software free of charge, called freeware. Computer-aided software engineering ( CASE) is a domain of software tools used to design and implement applications. CASE tools are similar to and are partly inspired by computer-aided design (CAD) tools used for designing hardware products. CASE tools are intended to help develop high-quality, defect-free, and maintainable software. [1]
