We just booked our first cruise on Holland America two days ago. We have cruised before on other lines. When I go into my account, then my booking the only way my booking comes up is if I put in the booking confirmation number. Is this normal or should it be appearing automatically when I go to t...
I resent my email requesting my shareholder credit and have received a confirmation email. Holland America has applied the credit to my account. I feel a lot better now that they have given me a reply and look forward to my first cruise on Holland America.:D
I setup an account on HAL.com and they gave me a mariner number. I have an existing booking which I can login to and buy shorex and book restaurants for - but every time I have to enter the booking ref (on the website). On the app (on iOS) I can't even do that - it doesn't recognize my booking ref and says call a USA number.
That cruise still says the statement is "Unavailable" - no reason given. At that time, I checked my history and all cruises except the one unavailable under DH's name also were "Unavailable". The one that was unavailable in DH's name was available in my name. I just now checked and the one that was available in my name is still there.
PCC called this morning and didn't have one of our bookings (which I wanted to make changes to) in my account. I had to give her the booking number and then she was able to find it. She said she would make the changes and get it into my account. Then when I tried to find it in My Account - I couldn't get in.
On every one of my past cruises these cabins have been assigned to special short-term guest entertainers or other service contractors. These people are not HAL employees so they are generally not expected to bunk in crew quarters below decks.
Please inform your credit or debit card issuer in advance that your card will be used on a Holland America Line ship. This will help prevent delays in obtaining pre-authorization on board. Some banks may keep the pre-authorization in place for up to 30 days.
Even when cruise is months away, it shows up on HAL site under "My reservations" within a day and sometimes on the same day, even before payment has gone true credit card company. Bottom line for you is, regardless of different experiences or assumptions related here, call your travel agent and if not satisfied with the answer, call HAL directly.
Due to scheduled maintenance Saturday, May 18th from 10:30pm to 11:30pm PDT, the website will at times be unavailable, including My Account, Online Check-In and booking cruises, shore excursions, dining and gifts. We apologize for any inconvenience. Maybe they started early on the maintenance.
I think the HAL website is having one of its little tantrums this morning. I got into the website “my account” page and noticed “null” in front of my name, zero Mariner credits, and “You have no bookings.” (Navigator was normal, with my info for November 17 cruise.) I logged out of the website and back in again. All back to normal.
