This "home button" concept doesn't do that. I open the browser -- still shows me the Avast search bar page. I press Control-N -- the new window still gives me Avast search bar page. The "home button" just puts a button on every page that I can press to make my desired page appear. I want my desired page to pop up when I open the browser.
Avast! is the only antivirus program that I had to use an elevated command prompt to fully remove after their removal tool failed on 3 occasions to actually remove the program. Not much of an issue since I finally made the decision to abandon avast! after having used since Avast was Alwil due to what I perceive to be irredeemable bloat.

When it comes to Bank mode - we're having a problem with 32bit operation systems, it's still possible to run the Bank mode from Antivirus (right click for tray icon or in menu).
