NORMAL – The holiday season is upon us and the Normal Theater has released its holiday programming schedule. Theater Manager Adam Fox spoke with WJBC’s Scott Miller.
Opened on November 17, 1937 with an original seating capacity of 691, the Normal Theater is owned by the Town of Normal, Illinois and is operated as a non-profit movie theater devoted to showing classic, independent and foreign films in an historically restored, Art Moderne movie palace.
The Normal Theater shows about 70% classic films and 30% independent, foreign, and documentary films. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for children. The lobby of the theater is tiny, so the concessions are inside the theater near the entrance.
