DRI*Avast Software suspicious charge. « on: December 19, 2022, 07:13:15 AM ». Hello, Recently I've taken a look at my credit card transactions and I saw a transaction of $99.99 dollars from a transaction named "DRI.AVAST Software". But I've never used their services before.
This "home button" concept doesn't do that. I open the browser -- still shows me the Avast search bar page. I press Control-N -- the new window still gives me Avast search bar page. The "home button" just puts a button on every page that I can press to make my desired page appear. I want my desired page to pop up when I open the browser.

avast is designed to be a 'resident' AV so what you are suggesting isn't what it was designed for and as such would require lots of hacking to get it to act like an on-demand AV. The avastUI has no security function, but is there so you can access the various shields and settings.

When it comes to Bank mode - we're having a problem with 32bit operation systems, it's still possible to run the Bank mode from Antivirus (right click for tray icon or in menu).

Someone (at some point) has made a purchase of an Avast product or registered for a 'Trial version' in order for the payment details to be available. Auto Renewal is UNFORTUNATELY checked by default and needs to be unchecked or cancelled.

It is recommended to rename the admin user account to reduce the chance of brute force attacks occurring.
