Hi, I had a Merrill edge account for a while and finally decided to open a Bank of America checking account to get the preferred rewards. I opened the Bank of America checking in a branch and was told that since I have a Merrill account already and I could be qualified to enroll in preferred rewards right away instead of waiting for 3 months.

3) After #2 fails to find the Merrill Lynch Investments account, login to MerrillEdge.com website and you'll see a popup allowing you enable Quicken on the account. You then have 10 minutes to get Quicken Mac to sync. 4) Redo #2 and it should work. Hope this helps someone else.
If this link was to be broken, you would no longer be able do any Merrill related things through the BoA app. Disabling your Merrill online access will do this. The new version of Market Edge Pro actually runs in a browser window instead of on your computer. When you login to Merrill Edge in a Chrome browser, go to Trade > Merrill Edge Market Pro. A new browser window will open (not just a tab) and Market Edge Pro will load in that window (it may take a minute the first time).
It’s an extra 1.125% (= 1.5 * 75%) and requires 3 month average balance of $100K at BofA/ML, so the sweep shouldn’t really matter. Sure the lack of sweep is inconvenient, but it doesn’t really change the eligibility for the 75% bonus. If you have the funds, park $100K at ML (in anything), and then do whatever elsewhere for a MM.
I opened Merrill edge regular brokerage account about 1 month ago. I tried to open a BOA account online a few days ago but was not able to. I went to a branch yesterday nd was able to open an account there. But for the life of me I couldn’t find how to link the new Bank of America account.
