Mouse Trap is way better than Monopoly. Setting up chain reactions is always fun and is made even better by screwing people over while doing it. Ludo, or at least the similar Dutch game "mens erger je niet", on the other hand is absolutely the worst board game ever. Risk is okay, although it very much depends on who you play with.

But here's something to consider: do you think there's still a place for good old-fashioned family board games? Like, imagine a PC game version of Monopoly, but with some cool twists to make it extra fun. Maybe we could add at least five special features to make it stand out and be super enjoyable to play with friends and family.

Often times the parts that aren't real are only set that way so you can focus more easily on the parts that do reflect real life! There's no escape for you, @WoodenSaucer !! Muuuhahahahahahaaaa!

  6. State of Steam | PC Gamer Forums

    forums.pcgamer.com/threads/state-of-steam.143181

The moderators are even worse and almost border on insanity. It is a rough place to be. I been a Steam user since 2011 or early. I have over 400 games there and enjoy it. I am worried about the forum community though and I wonder if an almost perfect monopoly on the gaming community is why in 2024? Does anyone else have a similar opinion?

    forums.pcgamer.com/threads/nvidia-google-come-out-against...

I don't see how Microsoft obtaining Activision Blizzard would get it even close to having a monopoly on either games or gaming services, considering the amount of other developers and services available. At most they might try to push their own store and services by making their games exclusive, but I kinda doubt that will work very well.

Usually, retrogaming is based upon systems that are outmoded or discontinued.

    forums.pcgamer.com/threads/general-strategy-sim-thread...

Since this is the strategy-sim thread, it feels off that we don't have any posts about the greatest business strategy simulation ever made, Monopoly. That may be an exaggeration, but it's cool to bash Monopoly, so I thought I'd start off by trolling the cool people.

It probably works well for systems heavy games so they can play balance. I did think of Jedi Survivors PC release which went horribly though, if they would have even had 3 month of early access for the first part of the game maybe they could have optimized it for a much wider range of hardware. Dont know really, just throwing it out there.
