Re: Full Virus Scan stuck at 0% after a while of scanning. it seems to be stucked on the anti-rootkit check, please try to disable the anti-rootkit in scan settings and try again. There is no disable, just 'delete'. I remember my McAfee Internet Security having this problem with rootkit.
Hardware configuration: Intel i5-8600 3.10 GHz processor. 16 MB RAM. 64 bit. I run a scheduled Full Virus Scan on Sundays and for the first time, it hung, after completing 54%. Since then, at least three times, when I've run the Smart Scan, it hangs at 14%, although the blue circle is still going around. This morning it sat at 14% for over two hours. Finally, I canceled it. It is currently running again and has been for almost 90 minutes, again sitting at 14%. The only other thing I have open is this Avast Forum screen.

I conducted a full virus scan and after the bar reached 100% it was stuck and there was only a blank page in the see details page. I am able to stop the scan by restarting the computer. After that I checked the scan history, and it told me that "some files cannot be scanned". I attempted a second scan and the same thing happened.
