    Posted April 28, 2008. 2nd is a WWII era sweetheart piece, essentialy it is a officers Dress cover emblem only with a pin back rather than screw post and it has rhinestones encrested in the contenents and in the eagle's eye. it is marked H H within the traditional eagle on the wing and has sterling on the other wing.

    The Vanguard hallmark on the air crew wing is 1950s as you have the code 1V on each side of the V. The captain bars look like they have the code V21 on each side of the V so this would date it from the 1960s on. I have attached scans of two paratrooper wings with the 1960s Vanguard hallmark of V21.

Being an M1902, this specific item had to be created between the acceptance of the pattern in 1902 and the owner's registration in 1917.
