Despite the fact that she has functioned as an antagonist before, by trying to run Twilight out of Ponyville, her character has way more complexity than villains like Tirek and Chrysalis.

When the news spread like wildfire, the animatic was promptly taken down by the artist from whichever site it was they originally posted on. But the damage was already done. Plenty of people (including myself) went ahead and immediately saved it (as well as the .pptx slides) and some of them even made YouTube videos about it.
The main problem is the game is a mini-game collection instead of a platformer/collect-a-thon like the 2 respective series. Even beside that: the mini-games, and story are terrible. Mega Man X7 is semi-playable, but it's still annoying thanks to the way the camera is shown along with poor control and game design.
