Reuters is a news operation, making a reasonable and professional effort to present the news objectively. Does a pretty good job, if you ask me. MSNBC is not a news source at all. It offers only commentary (right-wing in the morning and left-wing in the evening) but it employs no news reporters and offers no newscasts.

Problem with Reuters is that many other news agencies just pull stories from them to re-publish without also doing any fact-checking or going more in-depth. Reuters is a news clearinghouse. It also gives cover to pro-Russian news outlets to say "Reuters said it, so it's reliable". It opens things up to being reported out of context.

Reuters has spoken out against those types of accusations, made by Honest Reporting against a group of reporters in Gaza, including some who provided content to Reuters. So, to wrap up: journalists affiliated to armed groups aren’t new, but making baseless accusations against journalists is a dangerous trend in this latest conflict in Gaza.

I am Will Dunham and I am in Washington, D.C., where I cover a wide range of science topics for Reuters. We have recently hit the 200th anniversary of the first formal scientific recognition of a dinosaur — our toothy friend Megalosaurus — and there are many other developments in the field of dinosaur paleontology as well.

Reuters RSS Feeds Down? Hi, first post on this sub. Love using RSS, but more and more of my news sources have abandoned it in favor of their own proprietary apps, or Twitter. Now one of the staples of my "world news" category seems to have thrown in the towel: Reuters News feeds haven't updated (as of this post) in 9 days, and the URLs are ...
