13. Jul 15, 2020. #1. So my iPhone X screen has started to come off. Only about halfway though. It’s not cracked, phone still works fine except for very rarely touch losing sensitivity. Filing a claim on it is gonna run me $200 with Verizon for a new one. However, I’ve read that one of the bigger culprits of this is actually battery swelling.

Late last fall I traded in an iPhone X for a new iPhone 11 Pro at an apple store. Ordered it online, for pickup. That evening I took the iPhone X out of the case and noticed the same issue with the screen separating from the actual body. I turned it off and placed it in a cast iron casserole dish with a heavy lid, just to be safe overnight.
Cancelled. If your screen is scratched, and you choose not to replace the display, you might as well utilize a screen protector. Its You’re only method to visibly hide the scratches and protect your device moving forward. You really only have two options, either the screen protector or have the display replaced.
Jan 10, 2020. #19. Hi, on my iPhone X (bought in November 2017) the battery was also swollen in October 2019. The display slightly popping up from the case. The device was sent in and I had to wait about a week (AppleStore Hamburg Germany). The device was not replaced. A new battery and a new display were installed.
The iPhone X might be more scratch resistant than drop resistant. It is not doing well in drop tests so far, so I would consider one of two options: Get a thin but protective case and a good glass screen protector, or buy AppleCare + and don't put it in any pockets with safety pins.
Mine has a slight pink tint noticeable on the upper right ‘ear’ to the right of the notch and it goes down the edge of the display till about the half way point and it’s maybe 3mm deep from the edge of the screen. It’s noticeable on white backgrounds and not on dark. If you tilt the phone so you’re looking at it off centre it goes away.

They were pretty much exactly the same, except that the 7 looked more like motion blur and the X looked sharper and more like ghosting. But they were both distorting scrolling text by the same amount.
29. Poland. Jul 26, 2018. #1. Hi everyone! My iPhone X screen dims on its own for about 10 minutes then gets brighter all on its own when on heavy use or poor 3G signal. When it happens iPhone gets hot a bit and brightness going to about 50%. All my screen auto brightness features are off. I’m using iOS 11.4.1.
