The park’s 20 cabins provide guests with beautiful views of Lake Shelby or the beautiful longleaf pines and the palmetto forest of coastal Alabama. Guests choose to stay at Eagle Cottages because of all the fishing, swimming, boating, and other activities found along the shores of Lake Shelby.
Campsites at Gulf State Park. Perched on the shore of Middle Lake, the Gulf Campground is a beautiful getaway only 1.5 miles from the white sand beach of the Gulf of Mexico. Located 1.5 miles from the white sand beaches, Gulf State Park Campground offers 496 improved full - hookup campsites with paved pads and with 8 primitive tent-only sites. Tents are welcome on all sites.
Park accommodations include The Lodge at Gulf State Park, by Hilton as well as lakeside cabins and cottages. Campers can choose from over 500 campsites, including improved RV and tent camping, 3 glamping tents and 11 primitive sites.

Gulf State Park Pier offers a great fishing experience for any angler, beginner or seasoned. A variety of species can be caught from the Pier depending on the time of year: Sheepshead, Red Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Florida Pompano, King Mackerel, Whiting and more!
The Park features 29 miles of paved trails or boardwalks that inspire visitors to explore the nine distinct ecosystems within park boundaries. These trails are also included as part of the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail system that connect Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama.
