Then go in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin -delete this Origin folder Now you have to go to your recycle bin and clean so there will no longer Origin exist as a file. Now delete temp files.

- Running Origin, OriginSetup and all other Origin.exe files in the folder - Deleting Origin.exe and renaming OriginTMP to Origin (which I can't do because there is no OriginTMP file) - Uninstalling and reinstalling (including deleting all associated Origin files and all games that use Origin) multiple times - Clean boot
Unfortunately it seems that my games files are still located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin. After some more investigating I learnt that EA App is located in C:\Program Files\EA Games which to me doesn't make any sense and there is nothing at all inside the EA Games folder where I you'd expect your game to be ...

I've been having the same issue since June 2018. I wanted to re-install Origin because it kept updating and repeating that. When i double-clicked on OriginThinSetup.exe the program showed in Task Manager but closed after 2 seconds. I tried literally everything i found on forums but nothing worked.
