I have an Amazon Prime Store Card through Synchrony Bank. I received a physical card, however, the credit is only good on Amazon. I started with a $1,300 CL and after a little over a year, I have a $3,400 CL. The best feature of the card is I receive a 5% back as a store credit on everything I purchase.
I also have 2 Secured Cards, a Discover with a $500 CL and this Amazon Secured Card with a $200 CL. I'm into my 2nd month building up my credit from no credit. The problem is, this Amazon Secured Card continues to report balances on literally every purchase I make. It's happening all throughout the month and it isn't stopping.
Logged in to pay off balance and found a request a limit increase button. it says 'You may be asked to provide your annual net income if we do not have your recent information on file. Income is used to determine eligibility for a credit line increase. Subject to credit approval.' I just paid of...
I have the Chase Amazon Prime card and picked up the Amex Amazon Prime Business last week, it arrived yesterday. I went with it for a few reasons. It has the same 5% or 90 days option, a little better purchase protections, but mainly because it is a business card and therefore doesn't show up on personal credit report.
As I contemplate my next credit moves 14 months out of my BK7 DC, I am considering many options for the future. One card/bank I cannot seem to catch a break with is Synchrony. I am an Amazon Prime member, I order pretty frequently (I even have a couple items finishing their 6-month equal pay plan), and I like the service.
overall the disco will be better probably. 10% back vs 5% and you can use it anywhere and then redeem that cash back for money or amazon credit. with the amazon card you can only do amazon credit. synchrony will give a higher limit (recon your first limit to get more) but it's literally useless for anything other than amazon.
So, I have both the Chase Amazon Visa and the Synchrony Bank Amazon Prime Store Card. Both cards are great! I actually like the store card better, as I have never asked for a CLI and my card is already at $4800....my starting limit was $500.
- Amazon Prime Store Card: $10,000 - Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards: $3,000 - Chase Freedom Flex: $500 - Discover it Cashback: $2,600 - Kohl’s Charge: $3,000 - Mercury Rewards Visa: $4,390 - Super Cash: Limit varies based on debit balance - doesn't show up in accounts anymore though on CRs.
Late last night, while using the BofA app (I usually use their website on a nice big laptop), I stumbled onto something that confused me. All along, I've thought my Amazon Prime Store Card was a Synchrony product--I mean, it's Synchrony's site I log in to when I want to check my account, and every c...
