First baby no sickness or nausea , second baby some nausea. It’s been a life saver for me! I started taking a full unisom pill (25 mg) instead of half and have been feeling a thousand times better. I’ve also been doing b6 once in the morning and once at night.
The doctors say it’s safe, I’m just wondering if anyone has taken Unisom for the first and second trimester every night in a previous pregnancy and have your babies been okay/normal? I’ve been nauseous and vomiting since week 6, going into week 15 and every time I try to ease up or skip it- back to constant nausea and vomiting!

This girl is 1 month tomorrow and sleeps 3-4 hours between meals. She is rarely fussy and overall just a pretty mellow, happy baby. My first I took Unisom with too the entire pregnancy and he was colicky for a couple of months and needed to be held constantly. I don’t feel either scenario is related to the unisom. He’s now 2.5.

Yes! My doctor actually recommended me to take it during my first trimester when I was sick throwing up. I took it every night before bed. Like. m. miafaith78. Aug 26, 2019 at 9:09 AM. Yes you can take it. My Dr recommended it during my first trimester when I had really bad morning sickness.
It’s the tabs you want. My doctor did specify but you can ask yours to verify. From the unisom website: SleepGels: The active sleep-aid ingredient is diphenhydramine HCl (50 mg/dose). SleepTabs: SleepTabs contain doxylamine succinate (25 mg/dose). my doctor also specified tabs and the active ingredient.
MamaShlomo. Jul 19, 2020 at 6:40 PM. I've been taking Unisom doxylamine for almost my entire pregnancy (currently 36w). Doctor okayed it. I use it to help me sleep, sometimes I only use 1/4 of a pill, some nights I don't even need it.
