I've mostly stopped making water breathing potions. My "exploration" and looting set for the dark sea has around 90% water breathing and 100ish agility. So anything short of a perfect water breathing potion is useless. The real thing you should do is to have different armor sets for different things. alreadyroasted.
They can breath normally in air. I love the idea of a discount potion of water breathing that won't let you breathe air. TLDR: Potion prices are ridiculously high, especially if you are the Blackstaff and have an Academy full of wizard apprentices. I know potion prices are a contentious topic in general but this was just too much for me. Water-breathing racial is good because it means you picked Argonian, the best race. Stealthing Navy SEAL style. Because there's not much else you can enchant on a helmet. I feel like there should be stronger but I think so. yea that gives you a water breathing elixir, id bet there would be a better potion had we had legendary tier catalysts. I haven’t tried 10 seaweed and 2 golden pearls, but 10 seaweed and 2 colossal clams gives tier 3 with ~7 and a half minutes of water breathing. Ah, ok.
Other than that you could make a Pendant from Botania with water breathing, or the Make suit from Mekanism also has a water breathing upgrade. A temporary option would be the Scuba tank and Scuba Mask from Mekanism. Fill the Scuba tank with oxygen and only turn it on while in the water.
