If the zoo is owned by the city, county, or state, state preemption does not allow you to be prevented from carrying in a lawful way. As the park is one of many COS owns--and none of the others have any sign prohibiting firearms, I'll call the city manager if it is there. I don't doubt you, just know that no town or city can preempt state laws--at least with respect to honoring CCWs, not even the Peoples Republic of Denver--and COS is about as gun friendly as you can get.
