    If you want something with a lot of legacy support, go with VX Ace - there's a TON of scripts that allow you to make effectively whatever kind of game you want in RPG Maker. It also makes my job easier in terms of helping people with parts of their game. If you want something more modern with almost as much scripts to use, go with MV.
