There are two broad areas of the fragrance business; fine fragrance (designer labels such as Chanel) and consumer fragrances used in personal care products such as soaps, deodorants and shampoos. Opium. (perfume) Opium is an Oriental-spicy [ 1] perfume created for fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) by perfumer Jean Amic and Jean-Louis Sieuzac of Roure, first marketed in 1977.
