In my opinion is safe. I download apks from APKPure at least for 3 years and I never had an issue or any virus on my phone. As a guy called "PacoWeb" always says: if you find WhatsApp+ on that site then you should check anything you download And if virustotal doesn't detect a virus, don't forget to check the permissions it may have.
It stopped the music for like 5 seconds before the app forced the music to play again.So i immediately uninstalled apkpure and problem never came back again. The developer of the app probably added some shady stuff into the later updates of apkpure. Go get your apps from some other site instead.
Yes apkpure is totally save its actually a very good alternative for playstore when you try to update but the playstore says you don't have enough space while you literally have 4or5gbs I then use apkpure instead also it's helpful as sometimes there are apps that didn't appear on playstore yet cuz they aren't on your country or something like that and you can find them on apkpure also ignore ...

APKmirror just recently updated their security and is now protected against Janus vulnerability, I don't know about APKpure though. Just be careful downloading APKs from 3rd party providers. Aptoide probably. Apkmirror is considered the safest 3rd party app repo, followed by apkpure (which they have had issues in the past) Anything else is a higher risk. Play Store is stupid and says a bunch of apps aren't available on my phone even tough they work fine, so I downloaded the Apkpure app, but honestly….
No, apkpure is not safe. Contains triada trojan that is really hard to detect and makes serious problems. How to get rid of triada trojan: first, triada trojan mostly infects Android 4.4.4 or below. To get rid of it, don't forget to update your system. That will make a Huge problem to triada trojan complete its mission.

I found an open source alternative to APKPure app! It's called Package Manager and is available on F-Droid. I heard a virus was found in the APKPure app some time ago. It might have been removed since then, but Package Manager is safer anyway. The APKpure app sucks. Therefore i stopped using this repo some months ago.
