Costco has to call DCL and give them the card numbers - after you provide them to Costco travel. I don’t pay with gift cards for the inconvenience factor and the risk of cancelling and having thousands on gift cards.

It doesn't matter how much you pay with gift cards before transferring (as long as you don't pay in full before transferring). Dec 6, 2019. #4. It works because Costco is the agent for DCL. DCL is being paid, not Costco. You can't use Costco cash cards to pay for a cruise for this reason and can use Disney gift cards to pay for a Disney cruise. (so don't buy Disney gift cards to pay for your RCCL cruise, lol). The agent takes your card numbers and phones Disney.

There are no fees, and no expiration dates and they can be easily reloaded in any place they are used. Physical gift cards are shipped free. They cannot be shipped internationally.
To my knowledge - December was the first (and only) time they’ve offered Disney Gift Cards, and I’m pretty sure it was $225 for $250. I’m not aware of a $420 for $500 deal…that would have been remarkable.
Update: the code randomly showed up in my email today even though the order on Costco’s website says “cancellation pending.” I checked to make sure it was valid, moved the balance onto a physical card, then deleted everything from Disney gift card website .

Feb 26, 2007. May 14, 2015. #8. Maybe its regional, but I've never seen Disney cards at Costco. In our area at least, BJ's does carry them. Not a huge discount; I think $100 cards are $96...I think they also have smaller denominations at similar discounts and they have packs of 3x$50 . M.
