This however, felt like listening to the inane power fantasies of a child. Everybody is thoroughly impressed by Kvothe as soon as they meet him (unless they are downright evil), and every woman wants to sleep with him despite the fact that he's a teenager. Name of the Wind was an amazing novel, beautifully setting up a unique world with a cool magic system and an interesting cast of characters. In the Wise Man's Fear, it felt like little was done to progress the story with the Chandrian and that it was just more set up for the final chapter which is disappointing.
